Exercise 2
The exercise 2 ask us should choose two principles from Emphasis/ Balance / Repetition / Movement. Create 1 design for each chosen principle. I choose Repetition and Movement as the design principle for my work.
A summary of lecture topics
- principle of repetition
The principle of repetition refers to the repetition of visual elements in the layout, such as colors, fonts, graphics, shapes, materials, spatial relations, etc. Using the repetition principle can not only increase the order of the picture, but also strengthen the unity, make the layout more hierarchical and logical, and improve the reading efficiency and information transmission. Regular repetition can create a sense of rhythm and rhythmic beauty, enhancing the impression of the viewer.

- principle of movement
Movement means guiding the user's eye to a predetermined path in a composition. When a viewer views a design they are first attracted to the focal points of the design. By careful placement of these focal points, designers can easily guide the viewer through the design.

my design process:
- I used more than ten repeated balls to make the work vivid by making differences in size and position, and finally formed a work like the letter S
- I use lines to record the process of a person bending over to show the details of a movement, which is similar to a frame animation. It will remind us of the movement process of the person in our mind and give the work a feeling of movement. At the same time I used colored lines to distinguish very similar movements so that we could observe them more clearly.
