LECTURES 

Physical Collage

1. Choose and identify your collage's design elements to be cut out and compose them into your own concept and story.
2. Pre-composite your collage's design elements into a composition.

Digital Collage
1. Download all of the images from https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1DHrtb7WEgszcFlLn8K3dvv11_5TkArlp?usp=sharing
2. Follow this tutorial demo as a reference to create your digital collage: https://youtu.be/BlW7F-fTsbE
3. Create 3 different compositions (digital collages) from the images that you’ve downloaded.
4. A4 canvas size (vertical) in Photoshop.

Pintrest graphic designs

List down your 3 favorite graphic design works from pintrest. Explain why you like these designs

Description: This painting has a fantasy of recreates the han dynasty period of China silk road, the silk road is the symbol of the han dynasty period of China national strength strong, so the painting color is rich, the woman in the painting is typical of the ancient Oriental beauty appearance, the technique of painting and classical Chinese painting in the lyrics, and the totem is the modern American style, So this painting is a combination of classical and modern painting.

Description:First of all, let me explain that the man sitting on the tiger in the painting is Named Wusong, an ancient Chinese hero famous for killing a tiger alone. In this painting, Wusong fights not a tiger, but a video game machine. (The game machine is also known as the Tiger Machine in China.) It makes me think of the teenagers who are about to be destroyed by video games, but even the former tiger fighting heroes can't be seduced, let alone they need the right guidance from their guardians. From the perspective of painting skills, it is also a combination of modern and ancient painting, wearing sneakers and tattoos on ancient figures, which makes people feel novel and educational

Description:The overall tone of this painting is mainly pink and purple, which lays a romantic, blurred tone, giving a person a luxury sense of drunkard. With shopping as the title, flowers on behalf of temptation, lipstick, perfume also disguise in this piece of shopping flower sea. Shopping is the biggest temptation for women, but we should have independent judgment, not easily deceived by sales words, not to consume in advance, in their own ability to buy the most suitable for their own products is the best shopping.




PROJECT 1A: Physical Collage


I cutting out images that I liked from the media with scissors in class. After I collected enough image samples I identified a few big and interesting pieces to use as focal points and then experimented with their arrangement on a plain background. Below are the initial experimentation for the paper composition.

PROJECT 1B: Digital Collage


Design Experimentation

The Digital Collage design created using a the images provided by the lecturer. After opening them in photoshop I first masked out the background from a bunch of the filler and accent assets first just like "cutting" out the parts from the magazine like in project 1A. Below is my experimentation for the digital composition.

Final Digital Collage Composition,I decided to choose composition 3 for my Digital collage

Adjustment Layer & Filters

  • Brightness/Contrast: I upped the brightness & contrast to make the image brighter because it was a little dull
  • Curves: I adjusted the curves to a s to tone down the exposure for a more vintage feeling
  • Photo filter: I applied a warming filter to make the image look like aged paper for that vintage feel

FEEDBACK

Mr Fauzi said that I should choose the second digital collage as the final work, because it is more artistic.


REFLECTION 

Yourself to make a collage, this feeling is very wonderful, is a very new experience for me, I like Mr Fauzi atmosphere in class, feel very relaxed and cheerful, unfortunately I was in China launched a class, missed the offline practice class, see the students experience in photography I envy very much.

Information Design - Project 1

 26.1.2023 - 23.2.2023 (Week 3 - Week 7) Song Yang (0355576) Bachelor of Design (Hons) in Creative Media  Information Design Instructable Infographic poster & Motion graphic INSTRUCTIONS For this project, we were assigned to create a teachable poster infographic and an animated infographic video from a video recipe, explaining how to cook/bake our chosen dishes from the Pasta Grandma YouTube channel. I started this project by binge-watching multiple videos from the pasta Granny and decided to make this video on how to make flake bread. Flatbread is found all over Italy, and Enrica shares her recipe for "crostoli" (it's plural and singular is crostolo) here. Lard is a key ingredient, and the way it's made makes delicious pancakes.
