WEEK 8: Typography Task 3 briefing and demo
In this week's class, Mr. Vinod briefed us about our Task 3, along with a demo of how to construct a typeface using shapes and strokes.

Task 3:
1. Research - type design
2. Sketches: Different options (sans serif/serif, uppercase/lowercase)
3. Identify references - from the 10 typefaces: Which of the 10 typefaces comes the closest to your chosen design (sketches).
4. Deconstruct references - 3

Fig. 1.1 Deconstructed "r"

After identifying references to our chosen design (sketches), we have to deconstruct 3 letters. The purpose of deconstructing is to learn how the letters are formed with shapesreferences - type appreciation, study anatomical parts.

FEEDBACK

Mr. Vinod showed in class how my homework should be revised

REFLECTION

Experience
This is an amazing experience. I have never tried to create a font before. This task allows me to experience the process of font creation, which will be an important experience for my future study.

Observation
I never knew the steps of making fonts before, and I thought it would be difficult. After Mr. Vinod's guidance, I learned how to make fonts, which felt so good.

Findings
A work you don't try, you never know if you can do it, you look at the task is difficult, but when you really try, problems will be solved one by one, don't underestimate your own energy.

I started this project by binge-watching multiple videos from the pasta Granny and decided to make this video on how to make flake bread. Flatbread is found all over Italy, and Enrica shares her recipe for "crostoli" (it's plural and singular is crostolo) here. Lard is a key ingredient, and the way it's made makes delicious pancakes.
